THE WOLF MAN - FIRST LOOK TEASER TRAILER AND POSTER

It’s fair to say that Blumhouse have not had much of a winning streak since M3GAN. The likes of IMAGINARY, NIGHT SWIM and the recent AfrAId have failed to make much of an impression with genre fans but things may once again be on the upswing for the studio.. Advance word on the SPEAK NO EVIL remake has been surprisingly positive and now we get our first look at Leigh Whannell’s updated take on THE WOLF MAN. 

Whannell seems to be stepping back from the high tech shenanigans that produced such memorable results with UPGRADE and his take on another Universal Monster, THE INVISIBLE MAN. The writer/director seems to be taking a more traditional track here with what appears to be a family coming under threat from the titular lycanthrope in the deep dark woods. Christopher Abbot (POSSESSOR) and Julia Garner (OZARK) lead the cast in this eagerly awaited update. The poster may not give much away, apart from a snazzy way of making a W with your fingers, but the trailer does seem to promise a tense and grisly horror with quick glimpses of lupine action. 

THE WOLF MAN is due to be released next year in cinemas on January the 17th by Universal and Blumhouse.
